Hiding Acorns - Acorn Woodpecker

I captured this Acorn Woodpecker at a horse show where I was supposed to be taking photographs of a friend of mine! There was a pair of these gorgeous birds hiding acorns in this palm tree. I was fascinated by watching them. I’ve taken many frames of them hunting bugs and all their aerobatics and it was a nice change of pace to watch them find just the right spot to hide their acorns.
